Cook the Beef Preheat your oven to 425°F.Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Drain excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning according to package directions. Set aside
Build the Base Brush a large sheet pan with 1 tablespoon of melted butter.Arrange 8 tortillas in the pan, overlapping them around the edges with about half of each tortilla hanging over the sides. Use additional tortillas in the center to completely cover the bottom
Layer It Up Spread the nacho cheese sauce evenly over the tortillas.Top with the seasoned beef.Spread about 2 tablespoons of sour cream onto each tostada shell and place them sour cream-side up over the beef layer.Sprinkle on the diced tomatoes, green onions, and shredded cheese
Wrap It Place the remaining tortillas over the center of the filling.Fold the overhanging tortillas from the edges toward the middle, completely covering the filling.Brush the top with the remaining melted butter
Press and Bake Place a second sheet pan on top and weigh it down with a cast iron skillet or baking dish.Bake for 20 minutes.Remove the top sheet pan and broil for 3-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy
Slice and Serve Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.Top with shredded lettuce and serve with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, taco sauce, or any of your favorite taco toppings
Ryan Tyler Cooks Tip
Want to take it over the top? Swap the ground beef for shredded rotisserie chicken, add a layer of crushed Doritos, or drizzle the finished slices with chipotle ranch for a Crunchwrap Supreme that’s even better than the drive-thru. 🔥🌮🧀
