Build the Bacon Strips - Lay two bacon slices end to end with about 1 inch of overlap to create one long strip. Repeat to make four long bacon strips total
Add the Beef - Divide the ground beef into four equal portions. Press one portion of beef evenly along the entire length of each bacon strip, creating a long, thin layer of meat from top to bottom. Season generously with your favorite burger seasoning, BBQ rub, or a simple salt, pepper, and garlic blend
Roll Into Spirals - Starting from one end, tightly roll the bacon and beef together into a spiral. Secure with a toothpick through the side if needed to help hold the shape. Season the outside of each spiral burger one more time
Preheat grill to medium heat (375 to 400 degrees). Place the spiral burgers on the grill and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. The bacon will crisp while the beef stays juicy inside.
Add Cheese - During the final minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on top of each burger and close the lid until melted
Build the Burger - Toast the buns if desired. Spread ketchup and mayonnaise on the bun, then add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the spiral bacon burger. For the ultimate bacon lover’s burger, top with extra crispy bacon
Ryan Tyler Cooks Tip
The key is pressing the beef thin and rolling tightly. As the burger cooks, the bacon and beef fuse together into a juicy spiral that looks incredible when sliced and delivers bacon flavor in every bite. This is one of those backyard cookout burgers that gets people asking, “How did you make that?” every single time.
